We are looking for an experienced Executive Head Chef for a leading private school based in Bedfordshire. You will oversee a kitchen team of 16 and be able to demonstrate good leadership skills.
Initially this role will be 70% Office Based and 30% kitchen based as we need an Executive Chef with very good financial knowledge and understanding kitchen finances and leading and managing a large team. You will have a strong Head Chef under you for day to day management of service and events.
You will cater for around 1200 on a daily basis, so experience in catering for large numbers is a necessity whether this is within a School Environment or from a staff dining kitchen within Contract Catering. An education background is not essential but an Exec Chef with other corporate experience would be beneficial.
This is a full time contract and you will work throughout the year and have holidays off as in line with Educational roles. The core hours are Monday to Friday daytime; however, some flexibility is required as some evenings and weekends may be needed for functions and events. As well as day to day lunches and dinners, there are formal dining events, buffets, and a very occasional wedding.
If you are an Executive Chef then please send me your CV if this sounds like you and you want to know more!
