We're recruiting a Conference & Food & Beverage Operations Manager to join a busy hospitality venue in Derby on a 2-month casual contract from 9th November 2026 to the first week of January 2027 .
This is an exciting opportunity to lead food and beverage operations during one of the venue's busiest periods, including Christmas events, conferences, banqueting functions and celebrations.
The Role Working closely with the General Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day running of the venue's food and beverage operation, ensuring outstanding guest experiences and smooth service delivery across multiple hospitality areas.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and motivating front-of-house hospitality teams
Managing high-volume conference, banqueting and food & beverage operations
Planning staffing levels to maintain exceptional service standards
Supporting weddings, private events, festive functions and corporate conferences
Ensuring all hospitality areas are fully prepared and presented to a high standard
Driving guest satisfaction and service excellence
Working alongside department heads to deliver successful events
Carrying out Duty Manager responsibilities, including late shifts when required
Maintaining health, safety and food hygiene standards throughout the operation

37.5 hours per week
£18.50 per hour (£16.51 base rate + £1.99 holiday pay)

Must be available to work key Christmas and festive event dates
Candidates must be able to make their own way to the venue in Derby
