Overview: Assistant Editor – Student position at OFAH Foundation (Magazine/Journal Publisher). The role involves editing, proofreading, and preparing various editorial materials for publication.
Responsibilities:
- Detect and correct spelling, grammar, and syntax errors.
- Write or prepare introductions, marketing and promotional materials, bibliographic references, indexes, and other text.
- Provide production editing activities including art and graphics design, photography and captions, page layout, on-screen editing, paper editing, final copy preparation, and desktop publishing.
Qualifications:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Full-time or part-time enrollment as a student.
- Effective written communication and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative, judgement, and organization.
- Computer and Technology Knowledge: Microsoft Publisher, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, MS Outlook, MS Project, MS Word, WordPress.
- Social Media, electronic mail, and general web navigation.
Experience & Target Audience:
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in editorial roles.
- Work primarily with general public and adult audiences.

- Magazine or journal publishing environment.
- Remote – work must be completed from home; no office space provided.
