Field Sales Representative at TheFork, Edinburgh
TheFork is hiring a Field Sales Representative in Edinburgh. This is a live vacancy listed on the company's own careers board at the time of publication.
About the role
Field sales in hospitality is a walking job. You work a defined patch of restaurants, learn which ones are quietly struggling to fill midweek, and time your approach for the window between lunch service ending and evening prep beginning, because that is the only hour an owner will really talk.
TheFork runs a European restaurant booking platform, selling both the reservation software and the demand that comes with being listed on it. Full duties, requirements and compensation are on the employer's posting, which we have not reproduced here.
Edinburgh restaurants live with an extreme seasonal curve, and a booking platform is a much easier sell to an operator worrying about February than one turning people away in August. A rep who understands that calendar and pitches accordingly will consistently outperform one working from a generic script.
The city is also unusually walkable for a sales territory. The Old Town, New Town, Leith and Stockbridge all hold clusters of independent venues within a short distance, which means high meeting density without long drives. See our restaurant finder and the Europe market guide .
Frequently asked questions
Is this vacancy still open? It was live on the employer's board when we published and we confirmed the page loads. Vacancies close without notice, so the employer's link is the only reliable source of truth.
Is a driving licence needed? City-centre patches are often walkable, but employers sometimes require a licence for outlying areas. The posting will say.
