Website Executive

Full-Time On-site
O

Are you confident using WordPress and passionate about creating websites that are clear, accessible and easy to use?

We’re looking for a Website Executive to help manage and continuously improve OEUK’s online presence.

Joining OEUK, the leading representative body for the UK’s offshore energy sector, you’ll play an important part in creating effective online experiences for our members, stakeholders and wider audiences. From our corporate and campaign websites to members’ areas and digital products, you’ll have the opportunity to make a visible difference.

Working closely with colleagues across OEUK, you’ll combine hands-on website management, digital content, user experience and practical problem-solving to make sure our websites are accurate, engaging, accessible and easy to navigate.

What you’ll be doing

As part of a collaborative team, you’ll:

  • Manage and maintain OEUK’s WordPress websites, keeping content accurate, current and engaging.
  • Create, edit and publish pages, landing pages and other website content.
  • Use analytics, user feedback and stakeholder requirements to identify improvements to navigation, accessibility, content and user experience.
  • Improve website content so it is clear, relevant, well-structured and easy to find.
  • Support the development, testing and implementation of new website features, functionality and user journeys.
  • Provide practical WordPress CMS training, guidance and support to colleagues, helping them confidently maintain their own website content.
  • Gather user and business requirements and translate these into practical website improvements.
  • Work closely with colleagues, content owners, agencies, developers and suppliers to deliver effective digital solutions.
  • Support member-focused website functionality, working with OEUK’s CRM & Systems Manager where website activity connects with Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Listen to members and users, gather feedback and use these insights to improve member-facing digital content, products and experiences.

What we’re looking for

You’ll have relevant professional experience in website management, digital content or a related area, with demonstrable experience of managing and improving website content and functionality.

We’re particularly looking for someone who:

  • Has strong practical experience using WordPress to create, edit, structure and publish website content.
  • Understands website navigation, usability, accessibility and responsive content.
  • Has strong writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Understands digital publishing and SEO principles.
  • Can use website analytics, feedback and user requirements to identify practical improvements.
  • Can troubleshoot routine CMS and website content issues and recognise when specialist technical support is needed.
  • Is organised and proactive, with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
  • Is a strong team player who enjoys working collaboratively, sharing knowledge and building positive relationships with others.
  • Can communicate clearly and work effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues, members, stakeholders and external partners.
  • Is curious about website technology and keen to continue learning and developing.

Experience of Microsoft Dynamics, HTML/CSS or working with website agencies and developers would be useful but isn’t essential.

What you’ll gain

This is a great opportunity to build on your website experience and broaden your digital expertise in a role with plenty of variety.

You’ll develop experience across website optimisation, user experience, analytics, digital products, CMS training, CRM integrations and website development projects, while working alongside colleagues, agencies and technical specialists. These areas are all reflected in the underlying role responsibilities.

You’ll also develop your knowledge of the UK offshore energy sector and see how effective digital communications and online experiences can support OEUK’s members, industry engagement and the wider work of a leading trade association.

Why work at OEUK?

At OEUK, you’ll have the opportunity to use your digital expertise in an organisation representing the UK’s offshore energy sector.

Our members are at the heart of what we do, and this role will help ensure the websites and digital products they use are relevant, accessible and effective. You’ll listen to member and stakeholder feedback and help turn those insights into practical improvements to their digital experience.

You’ll join a Corporate Affairs team working across Communications, Marketing and Public Affairs. The team’s work supports OEUK’s member engagement, industry reputation and communications with political, media, member and workforce audiences.

Benefits include:

  • 27 days annual leave (pro‑rata)
  • Hybrid and Flexible Working
  • Private medical cover
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Ability to purchase/sell annual leave

If you’re looking for an opportunity to build on your website experience, broaden your digital skills and contribute to an organisation representing the UK’s offshore energy sector, we’d love to hear from you.

We welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate the skills and capabilities needed for the role, whether these have been gained through employment or another relevant route.

You must be able to work in the UK legally and you will not require sponsorship.
