As Head of Revenue (Maternity Cover) you will have a real pride and passion for what you do, with the ability to build rapport and long-term relationships with guests. You will be an excellent communicator, with an eye for details, and take a hands‑on approach to your role. You will be a great team player with a real passion for exceptional customer service to ensure a memorable experience for our guests. The role will be available from October.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Act as knowledge expert and a highly informed communicator on both internal and external revenue management matters.
- Give direction and oversee revenue strategy together with the Executive team.
- Work towards achieving occupancy % figures and Average Room Rate that exceeds budget.
- Always looking for ways of improving Yield Management.
- Strive towards RGI index above fair share and aligned to budgeted target and position.
- Employ sales and upselling techniques on a consistent basis in order to maximize hotel revenue.
- Inventory management and effective overbooking strategy.
- Group quoting and management of group blocks to ensure optimisation over period of group business.
- Forecasting – pick up, providing accurate forecasts for future business and operational considerations.
- Providing a comparison of Forecast / Actual.
- Producing reports on a daily and weekly basis.
- Competitor Analysis – to provide the hotel with accurate information on competitor prices, business trends, availability, etc.
- Ensure a friendly and pleasant environment for all guests and employees ensuring that recognition is at the forefront of service.
- To achieve the best performance from your team and keep them motivated by way of setting exemplary standards.
- Continually living a ‘Revenue Management’ Culture and encouraging this across all departments.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role in a 5* establishment is essential and experience in the luxury London market would be preferred.
- Knowledge of driving standards with acute attention to detail and delivery of business strategies.
- Excellent leadership skills and experience in leading a team is essential.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, including complaint handling and resolution.
- Immaculate grooming standards.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with creating reports and analysing data.
- Show drive for Excellent Customer Service leading by example.
- Extensive knowledge of Opera system is essential, including Rate Configuration and OXI management.
- Previous experience with SynXis and IDeaS RMS preferred.
- Total Revenue Management approach including previous experience in F&B or Spa RM.
