Reliability Specialist

To lead and drive equipment reliability within the assigned production area by implementing proactive maintenance strategies, leading root cause investigations, and coordinating shutdowns and improvement projects.
The Reliability Specialist acts as the technical owner of area assets, ensuring maximum availability, compliance, and long term reliability.
SAFETY
• Maintain and review all relevant documentation, including Risk Assessments, SSOW, SOPs, and Permits to Work.
CONTRACTOR MANAGEMENT
• Liaise with OEM / External contractors to plan and schedule remedial works.
• Review and approve contractor RAMS and issue Permits to Work.
• Effectively manage contractors whilst on site. Ensure Dr Oetker standards and contractor safety is adhered to.
ENGINEERING
• Review critical spares for all assets in assigned area of responsibility. Work with Stores and Inventory Manager to ensure correct stock levels are held to effectively service the production line.
• Regular area audits, ensuring engineers works completed meet the Dr Oetker standards.
• Lead the planning, preparation, and execution of maintenance shutdowns for your area.
• Own the maintenance strategy for your area, working closely with the Maintenance Planner to ensure scheduled activities are prioritised and resourced.
• Support the development of engineering technicians in the area through on-the-job training, standards coaching, and technical guidance.
• Use data insights from CMMS to identify repeat failures and optimise the maintenance schedule.
REPORTING
• Reporting – regular reporting on area of responsibility against agreed KPIs.
• Provide updates during SIC meetings, ensuring timely closure of actions and alignment with reliability goals.
• Offer technical advice for root cause analysis following significant downtime, ensuring actions are implemented and shared cross-functionally.
