We are looking for a Quality, Environment, Health and Safety Manager to work at our busy manufacturing facility in Marple. This exciting role is responsible for developing and maintaining Quality, Trade Control, Health and Safety and environment standards within the business. You will also undertake business planning, business continuity and continuous improvement activities. You will also be accountable for resolving customer-related quality issues.

Responsibilities
- Take ownership of all Quality Management processes including QMS documented information, Business Process integration and Ownership Engagement.
- As part of site management team, achieve the operational objectives of business and where necessary support quality development throughout the business.
- Manage resolution of customer related incidents.
- Manage resolution of internal manufacturing incidents.
- Perform sample inspection of products manufactured on site and material supplied.
- Implement robust containment and prevention activities.
- Ensure on time submission of 8D reports/NCRs to customer.
- Ensure Internal Audits (Systems, Process, Product) are performed.
- Ensure effective use and maintenance of core Quality documentation (Quality Alerts, Care points).
- Support FAIR & PPAP related activities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external regulations, directives and legislation.
- Provide regular reports as required for own function.
- Ensure compliance to EHS requirements, regular Environmental and H&S audits and 5S reviews.
- Ensure tools and equipment are serviceable and in calibration.
- Support and engage team members to achieve zero defects and zero accidents.
- Work in a safe manner in compliance with company Health & Safety policy.
- Report and log Health & Safety incidents that occur.
- Actively support and contribute to continuous improvement program and lean manufacturing.
- Continuously review working practices to remove and reduce waste and non-value-added activities.
- Develop role and grow R&R to support business needs with additional tasks as directed.
Profile
- Experience of a similar role in a similar environment.
- Ideally quality related qualification or CQI membership.
- ONC/HNC in Mechanical Engineering discipline.
- IRCA Lead Auditing/internal auditing.
- Understanding of EFQM, Lean, Safety, Quality Systems (including AS9100, ISO13485, Nadcap, etc).
- Experience of working with problem solving techniques such as Lean/Six sigma/ Fishbone, 8D.
- Experience of working with QMS systems.
- Understanding of surface treatments would be ideal.
- Commercial and strategic awareness.
Essential Skills
- Qualified in Quality or Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering (Degree/HND) or other levels supported with experience.
- Experience in a quality role gained from a background in one or more of the following product areas — aircraft engines, mechanical seals, pumps, rotating equipment, gaskets, compressors, turbines. Other areas may be considered.
- Demonstrable market sector experience in a technical role.
