As an Autonomous Vehicle Operator, you'll be responsible for driving, monitoring, and supporting autonomous vehicles as they are tested and developed on public roads. You’ll help ensure each journey is safe, smooth, and accurately logged.
What You’ll Do
- Operate autonomous vehicles across London, following mapped routes and reporting performance issues.
- Monitor on-board software systems, ensuring safety and correct vehicle behaviour.
- Observe and log system performance, incidents, and road conditions using provided digital tools.
- Report feedback clearly to internal teams to support ongoing development.
- Conduct basic checks on the vehicle before each shift (training provided).
- Uphold safety, reliability, and professionalism throughout each shift.
What You’ll Need
- You will be over 21 (for insurance purposes) with a full clean UK driving licence held for at least 3 years.
- Comfortable driving in London traffic and urban environments.
- Tech-savvy – able to use in-car tablets and reporting apps with ease.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow set procedures.
- Be able to effectively communicate with the tech and all colleagues.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Willing to work a rolling shift pattern including evenings and weekends.

- Bus, coach, HGV, delivery, taxi, police, ex-military drivers.
