We are currently seeking a Procurement Assistant to join our Offshore Division.

Core purpose



  • To carry out duties including placing orders, obtaining quotes and expediting orders for items and services needed for OEG.



Key responsibilities and accountabilities



  • Adhere to all OEG company policies, procedures, and codes of conduct (training and details provided).

  • Obtain quotes from suppliers.

  • Communicate in a timely manner with purchase requestors regarding quotes and lead times.

  • Generate purchase requests in the procurement database.

  • Work within various mailboxes for assigned work.

  • Issue approved purchase orders to relevant suppliers.

  • Maintain purchase order administrative duties, including filing correspondence and recording relevant details on orders within the database, as well as maintaining hard-copy delivery notes as required.

  • Expedite purchase orders and provide updates to requestors regarding operational delays when required.

  • Update supplier details on the company register and trackers.

  • Communicate with the Supply Chain team regarding supplier challenges, such as delays or areas of concern, to allow support and feedback to project teams and meet operational requirements.

  • Receipt purchase orders when required, e.g., for services.

  • Support the Accounts team with invoice queries.

  • Protect and promote the name and reputation of the company and seek opportunities to build the company’s customer base.

  • Adhere to all local laws when travelling and/or driving on company business.



Skills and experience



  • Previous administrative experience, with strong organisational skills and the ability to support day-to-day operational activities.

  • Previous experience within Materials, Logistics or Procurement is advantageous but not essential.

  • Good administrative and computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.



Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications for Applicants:



  • English - Pass at Standard Grade or equivalent.

  • Maths - Pass at Standard Grade or equivalent (desirable).

  • Previous experience in Materials, Logistics, or Procurement is advantageous but not essential.
