Core Purpose

Support the growth of the Subsea Division by identifying new opportunities, engaging with prospective and existing clients, and contributing to the execution of the divisional business development strategy. Operating under the Head of Business Development, this role is responsible for managing parts of the sales pipeline, enhancing client relationships, and supporting tendering and commercial processes in line with OEG’s strategic objectives and values.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in existing and emerging markets within the subsea and offshore energy sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a point of contact and promoting the company’s capabilities.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Business Development to implement strategic initiatives and meet commercial targets.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, gaps, and potential areas of growth.
  • Prepare and deliver client presentations, proposals, and capability statements tailored to specific customer needs.
  • Maintain and update CRM systems with opportunity and contact information, ensuring accuracy in pipeline reporting.
  • Support the tender and proposal process in coordination with internal bid and contract teams.
  • Attend relevant industry events, trade shows, and conferences to represent the Subsea Division and build networks.
  • Contribute to marketing and promotional activities in partnership with the central marketing team.
  • Provide regular performance and market updates to the Head of Business Development.
  • Uphold and promote OEG’s QHSE policies and business values.

Skills and Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in business development or commercial roles within the offshore, subsea, or energy sectors.
  • Proven ability to generate leads and convert them into commercial opportunities.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with project lifecycles, basic contract terms, and risk awareness.
  • Competence in CRM software and data-driven sales reporting.
  • Collaborative and self-motivated, with an ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience).
