About the Role
As an Authorised Technician, you will be responsible for supporting drivetrain inspections and structured work walkdowns, identifying defects and ensuring all turbine systems meet operational and contractual standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Drivetrain Inspection Activities
- Perform detailed inspections of:
- Gearboxes
- Generators
- Shafts, bearings, and couplings
- Identify:
- Wear, defects, and leaks
- Abnormal noise or vibration
- Early signs of component failure
- Record findings in accordance with OEM and project requirements
- End‑Warranty Walkdowns
- Carry out systematic inspections of assigned turbines/assets
- Identify outstanding defects or incomplete works
- Verify status of previously reported issues
- Raise and track punch list items
- Reporting & Documentation
- Produce accurate inspection reports and defect logs
- Capture photographic evidence
- Liaise with client and internal stakeholders
- Support development of remedial action plans
Essential Requirements
Candidates must hold current certification in:
- GWO BST
- GWO Enhanced First Aid (EFA), Advanced Rescue Training (ART), Sea Survival
- GWO BTT (Electrical & Mechanical)
- Vestas platform certifications including:
- V164 Operations
- 8–10MW Operations
- Vestas TOS
- Vestas SAI
- ONTRA WTSR (Core, MMI & Practical)
- Tool Tethering
- Fire Prevention Awareness
