Provides analytical, technical and administrative support to the Chair, Associate Chairs, CDA and program directors within the English Department. Assists approximately 50 full-time faculty, 70 Contingent faculty and 14 Graduate Teaching Assistants with instructional/classroom concerns such as course guidelines/procedures, room changes, equipment needs, and enrollment.
Assists the Office Manager with scheduling by checking classes each semester to ensure adjunct personnel are correctly added to the schedule. Assists Office Manager with payroll process using Banner program SIAASGN and the FLAC program to ensure correct payment for adjuncts.
Under the direction of the Associate Chair, inputs documentation/information on all classes offered in the English department and makes changes as needed. Assists with textbook orders for faculty in the English department; orders textbooks for contingent faculty, assuring that all book orders are received and processed by the Bookstore.
