O’Donnell Moonshine is a spirits brand bringing back the infamous Moonshine spirit from the 1920’s prohibition era into today’s world. We use only high-quality ingredients and value the tradition of our Moonshine by bottling it in original mason jars. We have committed ourselves to bringing our customers an exceptional drinking experience! We are based in the Northern Quarter in central Manchester. This is an ideal role for an ambitious individual to grow and develop within our finance department.
Working hours can be negotiated but we are looking for around 20 hours per week.
Working in a small finance team you will be responsible for all transactional duties and assisting the Chief Financial Officer across Month End including:
- Bank Management – Inputting of all bank transactions and bank reconciliations on to the system. Inputting bank payments, suppliers, and staff expenses onto bank.
- Ensuring all bookkeeping is kept up to date including processing and paying invoices.
- Assisting in preparation of payroll.
- Preparing VAT returns
- Supporting with preparation of management accounts and financial statements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar role.
- Ideally studying towards a professional certification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA)
- Proficiency in Xero is essential
- Team player with good work ethics and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Computer literate, including good knowledge of Excel
- Organised, self-motivated, with ability to use own initiative and work to tight deadlines
