Reporting to our Head of People & Talent, you will be a core part of how Odin runs its office, takes care of its team, and creates a great experience for both employees and external guests. This role is foremost an office and events experience role, and also a place to get hands‑on with people operations. Over time, there is real scope to get involved in how we use AI to build smarter ways of working across the function.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Office management: Keep the office running smoothly day to day. This includes managing supplies, liaising with building management, making sure the space is well‑stocked and well‑presented, and being the go‑to person for anything the team needs on‑site.
- Employee & external experience: Help plan and run events & dinners that reflect Odin's culture. This includes end‑to‑end coordination – logistics, venue management, guest lists, supplier communication, and on‑the‑day execution. You will support Imani, the founders, and the commercial team with this directly.
- Championing the team: Help recognise wins and milestones in ways that feel meaningful, thoughtful, and personal.
- Onboarding: Support a smooth, well‑organised experience from offer acceptance to first day, including IT setup, equipment, and cross‑functional coordination.
- Broader People and Talent projects: Contribute across engagement, employer brand, and culture‑building initiatives as priorities shift. You will also support the build‑out of our operator network and play a key role in our plans for how we grow and nurture the community we’re building in the startup ecosystem.
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, curious, and genuinely cares about the people around them. Someone who takes pride in getting things right, brings humility and empathy to how they work, and shows up with energy. What matters most is how you think and what you would do with the opportunity.
Must‑Have Qualities:
- You are highly organised with strong follow‑through. You can hold multiple moving pieces and not drop them.
- You have coordinated something logistically complex, whether professionally or otherwise.
- You care about people experience. You notice when something could feel better for someone, whether that is an onboarding flow, an event, or a process, and you want to fix it.
- You are energised by variety and by people. Whether you are setting up for an event or fixing a broken process, you show up with the same level of care and enthusiasm.
- You are a clear communicator across async, written, and in‑person settings.
- You stay calm under pressure and know how to prioritise.
Nice to Have:
- Any exposure to events, people operations, or office management.
- You have used AI tools in a hands‑on way, building automations, workflows, or anything beyond basic prompting.
- You are someone who can actively identify where LLMs and automation can improve how we work, and help build it. This could be workflows, people dashboards, onboarding automations, or internal tools. If you are someone obsessed with removing the most manual, time‑consuming parts of running a people function, we want to hear from you.
Salary: The salary band for this role is £35,000 – £45,000 + equity options. During the hiring process, we’ll assess your experience and capabilities using our internal levelling framework to determine your starting salary.
Working at Odin: We’re a London‑based team, and for this role being in the office makes a real difference. The speed and intensity we operate at make in‑person collaboration crucial, and we expect at least three days per week in the office. Given the nature of the role and cadence of events, there will be periods occasional where you may be in person up to five days per week or required to flex hours to be available for events that could run during the evening or fall on the weekend. We work hard and care deeply about performance, while also supporting sustainable output and life outside work.
Benefits:
- Health: Private health insurance (Vitality), paid sick leave including support for pregnancy loss and fertility treatments, and access to Spill for mental health support.
- Wellness: ÂŁ1,000 annual budget for health, therapy or fitness.
- Parental Leave: Enhanced maternity, adoption, paternity and partner leave.
- Pension: 4% employer contribution with salary sacrifice options.
- Time Off: 25 days annual leave, 2 wellness days and flexible.
