About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Extrusion Production Operative to join our night shift team within a busy manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in producing high-quality extruded products, ensuring production targets are met safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Duties
- Operate, set up, start up, and shut down extrusion production lines
- Manufacture, package, and test extruded products
- Monitor production processes and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Receive, handle, and process raw materials
- Complete stock counts and maintain accurate inventory records
- Record production data and ensure accurate product booking
- Operate fork lift trucks (where trained)
- Support any additional operational tasks as required
- Quality Control
- Identify, report, and help resolve any quality non-conformances
- Carry out hourly quality checks and document results
- Ensure only approved, high-quality product is packaged and dispatched
- Take ownership of product quality and continuous improvement
- Health & Safety
- Follow all site health & safety procedures and training
- Use equipment safely and responsibly at all times
- Report hazards, risks, or safety concerns immediately
- Ensure safe working practices are always maintained
- Housekeeping & Standards
- Maintain high housekeeping standards in line with 5S and TPM practices
- Keep work areas clean, organised, and free from waste
- Support a safe, efficient, and compliant working environment
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment (required)
- Forklift experience (desirable but not essential – training can be provided)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work night shifts on a rotating 4 on / 4 off pattern
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented approach
Training & Development
Full training will be provided across all aspects of the extrusion department, including machinery operation, quality standards, and safety procedures.
