An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Regional Director to join a rapidly growing and highly respected early years organisation. This senior leadership role carries full operational, commercial and people responsibility for a portfolio of nurseries across a defined region. Reporting directly to the Chief Early Years Officer, the successful candidate will lead a team of Area Managers to deliver outstanding operational standards, sustainable commercial performance and exceptional childcare outcomes. This is a pivotal appointment within an ambitious and expanding group, offering the opportunity to influence operational strategy, support acquisition activity and lead the successful integration of newly acquired settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Full P&L ownership across the regional nursery portfolio
- Drive occupancy, revenue growth and overall commercial performance
- Lead, coach and develop Area Managers and senior operational teams
- Ensure full compliance with Ofsted, safeguarding and statutory requirements
- Lead operational audits and improvement strategies across the region
- Act as the senior escalation point for safeguarding, operational and people matters
- Support acquisition activity including due diligence and post-acquisition integration
- Build strong relationships with local authorities, stakeholders and external partners
- Contribute to strategic operational planning alongside executive leadership
- Identify and develop future leaders within the business
Candidate Requirements
- Significant multi-site leadership experience within early years or childcare
- Proven track record of delivering operational and commercial success
- Strong financial and commercial acumen with previous P&L responsibility
- Experience managing senior operational leaders
- Excellent understanding of Ofsted and regulatory frameworks
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Resilient, highly organised and capable of operating autonomously
- Passionate about delivering exceptional early years outcomes
Essential Qualifications
- Full and relevant Early Years Level 3 qualification or above
- Full UK driving licence
- Flexibility to travel nationally as required
