ODIN Recruitment are looking for a hardworking and reliable Construction Labourer to join our clients team. The successful candidate will assist experienced Groundworkers with a variety of construction and groundwork activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist experienced Groundworkers with all aspects of groundwork and civil engineering projects.
  • Prepare construction sites by clearing, setting out, and organising materials and equipment.
  • Assist with block paving, paving, concrete works, formwork (shuttering), and ducting installations.
  • Load, unload, and move construction materials, tools, and equipment around site.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively under supervision.
  • Assist with mixing and pouring concrete and preparing excavation areas.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment.
  • Follow instructions from Site Managers, Project Managers, and Groundworkers.
  • Comply with all company policies, site rules, and health and safety legislation.
  • Report any hazards, accidents, or damaged equipment immediately.
  • Carry out general labouring duties as required to support the successful completion of projects.

Person Specification

  • Previous construction or labouring experience.
  • Willingness to learn and assist experienced Groundworkers.
  • Good work ethic with a positive and reliable attitude.
