About the Role
As Assistant Nursery Manager, you will support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, education, and compliance are maintained. You will be a positive role model to staff, build strong relationships with parents, and ensure the nursery remains a safe, stimulating, and happy place for children to thrive.
Responsibilities

Support the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily operations

Lead by example, promoting best practice across the nursery

Support with staff supervision, mentoring, and development
-
Ensure a high standard of care and education is maintained at all times
-
Work within the EYFS framework to plan, implement, and evaluate activities
-
Maintain strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals
-
Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies are followed
-
Step up as acting manager when required
Requirements
-
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years (essential)

Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding practices
-
Previous senior or room leader experience in a nursery setting
-
Excellent communication and organisational skills
-
A passion for early childhood education and a nurturing approach

A team player with a proactive, can-do attitude
