Assistant Nursery Manager Location: Hildenborough, Tonbridge, Kent Salary: £37,000£42,000 per annum, depending on experience Hours: Full-time, 40 hours across five days We are recruiting an experienced and enthusiastic Assistant Nursery Manager to help lead a busy early years setting in Hildenborough, near Tonbridge. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager or experienced Room Leader who is ready to take the next step in their career. You will work closely with the Nursery Manager, supporting the team and helping to ensure children receive consistently high-quality care and education. The role Your responsibilities will include: Supporting the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day operation of the setting Leading, motivating and supporting the nursery team Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, care and education Ensuring practice remains fully compliant with the EYFS and Ofsted requirements Supporting staff development through supervision, coaching and constructive feedback Helping to maintain appropriate staffing levels and deployment Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues Supporting occupancy, enquiries and the continued success of the nursery Deputising for the Nursery Manager when required About you To be considered, you should have: A full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification or above Previous leadership experience within an early years setting A strong working knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements The confidence to support, develop and motivate a nursery team Excellent communication and organisational skills A genuine commitment to providing outstanding outcomes for children The ability to remain calm, positive and solutions-focused in a busy environment This is a full-time position working 40 hours across five days.
