An established specialist engineering company is looking for 2 experienced Mechanical Fitters to join its growing site installation team, working on wastewater treatment projects across the UK. This is a hands-on role involving the installation, refurbishment and servicing of mechanical wastewater equipment, from individual conveyors through to large, interconnected treatment systems.

- Overtime after 40 hours – 1.25x, Saturday – 1.5x, Sunday – 2.0x

The Role
- Mechanical installation, fitting and refurbishment of wastewater equipment
- Working from engineering drawings and setting out equipment
- Working alongside lifting teams and other trades
- Using mechanical tools and lifting equipment safely
- Resolving practical site issues and maintaining high standards of workmanship
- Working to RAMS, method statements and site safety requirements
- Reporting progress to the Project Engineer
Primary project locations include Anglian Water, Severn Trent, Welsh Water and Thames Water sites, with projects across the UK.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Installer
- Strong hands-on mechanical fitting and site installation experience
- Experience working on construction or operational sites
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Good understanding of site safety and RAMS
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel extensively and stay away from home regularly
- Wastewater experience highly desirable
- Welding experience advantageous
Qualifications / Tickets
Candidates with any of the following are encouraged to apply: CSCS, First Aid, Confined Space, Slinger/Signaller, IPAF, PASMA, Thames Water Passport, Safety Critical Medical, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, SSSTS, CPCS Crane Supervisor, Telehandler or 360 Slew Telehandler tickets. You do not need to hold every ticket– strong mechanical fitting experience is the priority, additional training courses will be given.
This role involves frequent travel and nights away from home, so applicants must be comfortable with regular hotel stays.
