As Engineering Manager, you will lead the engineering function to maximise plant reliability, efficiency, and safety. The role focuses on driving continuous improvement, implementing effective maintenance strategies, and leading a high-performing engineering team.
- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance strategy to minimise downtime and optimise asset performance.
- Lead, coach, and develop a multi-skilled engineering team to ensure strong performance and engagement.
- Manage engineering budgets, contractors, and procurement activities to support cost-effective operations.
- Drive optimisation of the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) to improve maintenance planning and asset reliability.
- Lead capital expenditure projects and planned shutdown activities through to successful completion.
Strong electrical and control systems expertise gained within a manufacturing environment.
Minimum 3-5 years experience in an engineering management role in manufacturing.
Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including PLCs and machine control systems.
Experience managing engineering budgets, including consumable and capital expenditure.
Proficient in CMMS administration and Microsoft Office applications.
HND or Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline.
IOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent safety qualification desirable.
Approximately £60,000 per year (depending on experience).
