Hours: Full-time, permanent
Our client, a well-established early years setting, is seeking an experienced and passionate Room Leader to take responsibility for the day-to‑day running of one of their nursery rooms.
This role is ideal for a confident early years practitioner who enjoys leading by example, supporting colleagues, and delivering high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS.
The Role
- Lead and manage a designated room within the nursery
- Plan and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate activities in line with EYFS
- Support children’s learning, development and wellbeing
- Supervise, mentor and support room staff
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Build positive relationships with parents and carers
- Maintain accurate observations, assessments and records
- The Ideal Candidate
- Holds a Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above)
- Previous experience as a Room Leader or experienced practitioner ready to step up
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
- Confident in leading and supporting a small team
- Organised, enthusiastic and child‑focused
- Excellent communication skills
