  • Location: Narborough
    Salary: Up to £35,500
    Hours: Full-time, permanent

Our client, a well-established early years setting, is seeking an experienced and passionate Room Leader to take responsibility for the day-to‑day running of one of their nursery rooms.

This role is ideal for a confident early years practitioner who enjoys leading by example, supporting colleagues, and delivering high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS.

The Role

  • Lead and manage a designated room within the nursery
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate activities in line with EYFS
  • Support children’s learning, development and wellbeing
  • Supervise, mentor and support room staff
  • Ensure safeguarding, health and safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers
  • Maintain accurate observations, assessments and records
  • The Ideal Candidate
  • Holds a Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above)
  • Previous experience as a Room Leader or experienced practitioner ready to step up
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • Confident in leading and supporting a small team
  • Organised, enthusiastic and child‑focused
  • Excellent communication skills
