Our client is a specialist renewable energy services platform supporting asset owners, developers, IPPs and infrastructure investors across the lifecycle of renewable energy assets. The business provides a combination of technical advisory, engineering support, operational services and asset management solutions designed to help clients improve asset performance, optimise operations and support long-term portfolio value creation.

The company operates across a broad range of renewable and distributed energy technologies, supporting clients through both project execution and operational phases. Its service offering spans technical and commercial asset management support, engineering and performance analysis, operational optimisation, monitoring and broader advisory services across renewable energy portfolios.

With an established international delivery platform, and more than a decade of experience working with leading institutional clients, and a growing client base across the US, the business is now focused on expanding its commercial footprint across the UK and Europe, with the ambition of building long term strategic relationships across the regional renewable energy market.

This is a highly entrepreneurial role focused on launching and building the company’s European commercial function. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing relationships across the renewable energy market, generating new business opportunities and helping establish the company as a trusted service partner within the region. This role is best suited to someone who is comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy, building relationships and commercial momentum from the ground up, and working effectively within a lean, entrepreneurial environment.

  • Develop and execute the European commercial growth strategy
  • Generate new business opportunities through networking, conferences, referrals and direct outreach
  • Develop relationships with developers, IPPs, utilities, asset owners, infrastructure funds and related counterparties
  • Lead commercial discussions and support proposal development
  • Help position the business within the European renewable energy market
  • Represent the company externally at industry events and client meetings
  • Support long term expansion of the European platform

Proven business development and sales experience is required, along with experience independently building and managing a sales pipeline. Candidates should be comfortable working with monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, while balancing macro strategy with disciplined near term execution. Strong relationship building and networking capability, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work remotely and autonomously are essential. A strong commercial awareness and deal management capability is also important.

The business is primarily interested in individuals with experience selling services or solutions into the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors, particularly within relationship led and consultative sales environments. Relevant sector exposure could include solar, battery storage (BESS), distributed energy systems, asset management services, energy efficiency and monitoring solutions, and broader operational or performance optimisation services. The company remains open to strong commercial sales professionals from adjacent sectors where transferable sales capability, relationship building ability and commercial credibility are clearly demonstrated.

COMPENSATION: Compensation structure is intended to be performance driven and will include commission/bonus opportunity and long-term upside linked to growth and performance. Fully remote initially with flexible UK and European travel expected.
