We are seeking a talented and driven Senior Sustainability Advisor to join our ODInteriors business unit. This role will primarily support our traditional fit-out projects, ensuring sustainability excellence from tender stage through to completion, while driving ESG performance in line with ODGroup’s long-term strategy.

The Senior Sustainability Advisor will play a key role in embedding sustainability across projects and supporting the delivery of green building certifications such as BREEAM, WELL, and SKA Rating. You will work closely with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and external assessors to ensure ESG objectives are clearly defined, implemented, monitored, and achieved. In addition, you will contribute to bid submissions and marketing collateral, helping to position ODGroup as a market leader in sustainable office interiors.

Project Sustainability Delivery
  • Liaise with project teams and subcontractors to communicate sustainability targets and ESG objectives.
  • Ensure projects remain compliant with environmental legislation and company standards.
  • Translate ODGroup’s ESG Strategy into measurable project-specific targets.
  • Monitor performance using ESG reporting software, ensuring accurate data capture and reporting.
  • Carry out regular ESG site inspections, issuing reports and following up on non-conformances.
  • Manage and coordinate sustainability accreditations including BREEAM, WELL, and SKA Rating.
  • Collate, review, and quality-check certification evidence prior to submission.
  • Provide clear guidance and practical routes to compliance for project teams and subcontractors.
  • Review Construction Phase Plans, air quality plans, and site waste management plans to ensure alignment with project sustainability targets.
Training & Communication
  • Deliver sustainability training sessions to project teams and subcontractors.
  • Provide guidance on environmental aspects, impacts, and ESG data recording processes.
  • Communicate sustainability performance via reports, meetings, and on-site communications.
  • Support teams in maintaining environmental records required for accreditation and ISO compliance.
  • Support quarterly ESG reporting and performance updates.
  • Help improve environmental measurement, monitoring, and reporting processes in alignment with ISO 14001.
  • Contribute to company-wide sustainability initiatives, such as maintaining and expanding the sustainable materials library.
  • Support PQQs, tenders, and interviews with sustainability input and collateral.
  • Assess sustainability risks and opportunities at tender stage.
  • Develop project-specific sustainability strategies to enhance bid competitiveness.
  • Write and review sustainability scope of works at tender to support the estimating team.
  • Hold performance reviews with waste contractors to ensure diversion-from-landfill targets are met.
  • Work collaboratively with supply chain partners to drive improved environmental performance.
  • Liaise with clients and professional teams, producing sustainability reports and attending meetings.
  • Support the development and implementation of social value plans.

Proven experience in a Sustainability Advisor or Senior Sustainability role within construction or fit-out. Strong working knowledge of green building accreditations including BREEAM, WELL, and SKA Rating. Familiarity with ISO 14001 environmental management systems. Experience monitoring ESG performance and sustainability reporting. Strong understanding of UK environmental legislation within construction. Ability to influence project teams and subcontractors to achieve sustainability objectives. Commercial awareness and understanding of sustainability’s role in winning work. Passionate about sustainability and environmental performance. Driven to embed continuous improvement across projects and the wider business.
