We are seeking a talented and motivated Assistant Pre-Contracts Manager to join OD Create, our design and build division. In this role, you will play a key part in bidding for and securing projects, contributing to our continued success.
This opportunity has been created to serve as a strong deputy to the Senior Pre-Contracts Manager, assisting in the oversight and management of the pre-contracts team’s daily activities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supporting and managing the OD Create pre-contracts, bid and estimating team
- Driving continuous improvement of our tender processes.
- Allocating resource to the pipeline of tenders, putting us in the best position for success.
- Pricing your own tenders and producing cost plans where required.
- Supporting on larger tenders, alongside the senior pre-contracts manager.
- Coordinating and preparing for pre, mid and post tender client meetings, workshops and interviews.
- Identifying risks and opportunities within the tender information and potential projects.
- Providing support across the pre-contracts post-tender to ensure deadlines are met.
- Sensitively managing subcontractors and supply chains with the commercial teams.
- Consistently achieving a seamless handover from the pre-con team to the delivery and commercial teams.
- Developing an understanding of relevant procurement routes and their nuances (Lump Sum, Design & Build and Two Stage).
- Collaborating with the bid and marketing teams on the development of our documents and collateral, ensuring market-leading creativity and attention to detail.
- Maintaining an up-to-date awareness of our competitors and how their activity could impact our tenders.
- Reporting on win rates, client feedback, and other metrics, in order to drive improvements in our offering.
