Role Summary

The primary responsibility of the role is to act as the Tubular Running Specialist (TRS) within the rig crew, ensuring that all required equipment for TRS operations is on board, function-tested, and ready for use in advance of all planned TRS operations, and that all TRS operations are executed safely in accordance with company policies and procedures. The role will also function as an integrated part of the drilling crew.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all required equipment for TRS operations is on board, maintained, function tested, and ready for use.
  • Ensure all operations are executed in accordance with Odfjell procedures, including correct make‑up torques and qualification of all graphs for every casing/tubing/screen running job performed with computer when required.
  • Submit daily Job Reports, logistic reports, Equipment Status reports, Fault Reports, etc., as required by Well Services procedures during TRS activities.
  • Provide on‑site training on the use of TRS services to other crew members when required.
  • Carry out all tasks requested by the Driller or Toolpushers within the drilling module, including maintenance during periods of non‑drilling activity.
  • Contribute to the emergency response team as needed.
  • Participate in well control drills to practice operating well control equipment and controlling abnormal well bore pressures.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Trained TRS Technician/Supervisor with a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an offshore TRS Service Supervisor/ Crew Chief.
  • Extensive knowledge of casing running and the equipment involved.
  • Previous experience in Roughnecking operations and duties preferred but not essential.
  • Hold the necessary certification to travel offshore.
  • Right to work in the UK.
