We have an exciting opportunity for a Storekeeper to join our Clair team working on an enhanced rotation of 161 offshore days per year.
Role Summary: The Storekeeper is responsible for ordering equipment and parts as necessary, maintaining adequate inventory, control of the inventory while issuing materials, carrying out stock checks each trip, and maintaining storage areas.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare Material Requisitions (MR’s) for parts requested or parts that need to be repaired on a Repair Work Order (RWO) and obtain approval in a timely manner.
- Maintain an accurate MR and RWO register at all times.
- Using available resources identify from whom item(s) can be obtained, as well as, parts or equipment identification numbers.
- When supply vessel arrives and/or helicopter to deliver ordered parts and equipment, be available on deck to verify that all incoming items match requisitions and what is detailed on the manifest. Any deviation to what is on the manifest must be reported immediately.
- Unload parts and equipment from containers, check them and store them correctly on the appropriate stock shelf, update inventory and trackers as required.
- Work and communicate with the Maintenance Supervisor and the Toolpusher to determine specific parts or equipment, which might be needed for an identified task or planned maintenance routine.
- Maintain complete inventory control of all parts and equipment available and on order.
- Maintain material system on a current basis and in the proper and accepted manner including the minimum and maximum balance.
- Responsible for completing drilling logs and paperwork as required.
- Locate and identify all rental equipment and maintain an accurate rental register at all times.
- When returning rental equipment off hire it must be tagged appropriately in preparation for back-loading on supply vessels for return to the rental companies.
- Interact with the personnel on board to ensure that the parts and equipment being ordered and supplied are what is actually needed.
- Respond to the questions as to when equipment might be available.
- Interact with onshore materials department to resolve any questions that might exist regarding the inventory/material being ordered.
- Prepare cargo manifests for all equipment removed from rig.
- Maintain max/min levels and prepare MR’s to ensure maintenance of those levels.
- Report to Toolpusher (Offshore) & Purchasing Manager (Onshore).
- Check all containers manifested to the rig and report any discrepancies.
- Check all containers being back loaded to ensure they are suitably packed and meet UKOOA Shipping Guidelines.
- Ensure all MR’s have all the correct information on them to allow the buyer to purchase the item/s required.
- Keep trackers up to date and accurate, this includes the MR, RWO, and rental trackers.
- Stock checks must be carried out during each trip offshore and sent into town.
- Handover notes must be completed at the end of each trip and e-mailed to town complete with the trackers and the stock check sheets to (Rig Manager, Purchasing Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, Toolpusher, Buyer).
- Maintain good housekeeping in the stores.
- Maintain accurate inventories at all times.
- Make use of Safety Observation System e.g. BOSS/STOP, and take immediate action to contain, eliminate or guard against actual and potential hazards to safety, health, plant and equipment which come to their attention in the course of their work.
- Ensure lessons learned are captured and incorporated in TOPS/future programmes and written work instructions.
- Promote and capture suggestions for improvement – facilitate and ensure that agreed actions are implemented.
- Must represent the Company in a professional manner both on and off the job to include confidentiality of Company and Client business.
Qualifications and or Experience: The Company typically promotes Storekeeper Trainees to this position who can demonstrate their competency at this level. New hires will preferably possess experience as a Storekeeper. Successfully demonstrates physical ability to perform essential job functions. Must successfully pass pre-placement medical examination and drug screening. Must be able to perform functions safely. Must be able to comply with Company rules.
