Job Purpose

Working closely with the Group Head of Film Booking, the Group Film Booking Manager is accountable for leading defined Group Film Booking workstreams across ODEON Cinemas Group (OCG), with a particular focus on targeted (Event and specialist) programming, and pre-show strategy.

The role uses market insight, performance data and strong stakeholder relationships to shape commercially focused programming opportunities across Europe, supporting consistent decision-making and improved business outcomes.

Operating in a Group matrix environment, the role acts as a key connection point between country film teams, Group Partnerships and pan-regional targeted programming suppliers, ensuring Film’s commitments are clearly understood, well managed and delivered in line with Group priorities.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead targeted programming opportunities across OCG markets, including Event Cinema, diaspora/FLC and specialist releases, ensuring activity is insight-led, commercially focused and aligned to Group priorities.
  • Own the development and delivery of Group-wide pre-show strategy, working with Group Partnerships and country teams to create a consistent, high-quality approach that supports guest experience and commercial outcomes.
  • Act as the senior Film Booking contact for Group Partnerships, ensuring Film commitments are clearly scoped, effectively prioritised and delivered through strong cross-functional collaboration.
  • Manage key internal and external relationships, including country film teams and pan-regional suppliers, building alignment and resolving competing priorities through influence and clear communication.
  • Support delivery of Group Film Booking strategic workstreams, translating priorities from the Group Head of Film Booking into clear plans, actions and measurable outcomes.
  • Deputise for the Group Head of Film Booking where required, representing Film Booking in agreed Group forums, discussions or cross-functional projects.
  • Provide reporting, analysis and performance insight to support senior decision-making, and continuous improvement of Group Film Booking activity.

Key Skills

Essential

  • Experience working with targeted/specialist programming (foreign language, Event Cinema etc).
  • Experience in managing both cross-functional relationships internally, and supplier/distributor relationships externally.
  • Experience in a Film Booking team in a multiple-location cinema environment required.
  • Must be numerate and have advanced Excel skills; experience, or an understanding of other analytical tools like Power BI/Alteryx is a benefit.
  • Must be confident managing competing priorities and balancing workloads and presenting to senior stakeholders.
