We are looking for a Senior National Account Manager to join our Sales function on a full-time basis. The role reports to the Head of UK Grocery & Online and is based at the Rude Health Head Office in Fulham, London. The Senior National Account Manager will set the strategy and lead the execution to drive topline and bottom-line growth with our key UK Grocery customers. Playing a key role in our grocery team, you will continue the momentum of Rude Health’s performance and launch Oddlygood®, an exciting Finnish brand (#1 brand in its home market).
You’ll be responsible for building strong customer relationships supported with brilliant brand and category insights, to deliver our business goals. Adept at opportunity spotting (and seeing challenges on the horizon), you’ll collaborate with retail partners to grow ahead of the category through distribution growth, increasing rate of sale, availability and visibility. You will seek ways to drive profitability through smart trade spending and strong commercial acumen. Brilliant basics will be the foundation of the role with accountability for promotional planning, forecast accuracy and general account management administration. As the most experienced Account Manager in our team, you will lead by example, upskilling the team by coaching and sharing your experience. You will partner with the Head of Grocery & Online to drive forward strategic projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Head of Grocery & Online in leading the retail sales function
- Drive best practice and improved sales performance in the Grocery channel through role modelling, coaching and sharing best practice
- Grow Rude Health’s sales and market share in key existing and new accounts
- Launch Oddlygood® to be a mainstream challenger in the UK grocery channel
- Plan and execute annual plans with key retailers to deliver business goals
- Develop 3‑year strategy, making commercial choices that deliver profitable double‑digit growth with key customers
- Build strong relationships with existing customers to create winning partnerships, inspiring them to be Oddlygood® and Rude Health advocates, resulting in brand and category growth
- Seek out new business opportunities to bring incremental growth to the UK business
- Effectively leverage our brand and marketing plans with customers
- Collaborate with the Category Manager to use category insights to build compelling selling stories to influence retailers
- Think and act like a founder and leave no stone unturned to grow Oddlygood® and Rude Health’s distribution, ROS, availability and visibility ahead of our competitors
- Ensure all account management tasks and responsibilities are effectively covered for the customers in your channels (including annual growth strategy, JBPs, promo planning + analysis, accurate forecasting and customer administration)
- Lead accurate forecasting with the operations team to ensure efficient supply chain
- Anticipate & resolve commercial challenges and opportunities; provide solutions, make recommendations and take the right decisions, not the easy ones
