Oddfellows on the Park is a 22‑bedroom boutique hotel in Cheadle, offering a well‑established weddings and events business alongside bedrooms, food and beverage. We are now seeking a Senior Wedding & Events Coordinator to play a leading role in shaping and delivering this part of the business.

This is a senior, hands‑on role for someone who understands both the emotional and commercial sides of weddings and events. You will lead clients through their journey with confidence, ensuring each event is thoughtfully planned and seamlessly delivered from first contact through to handover and feedback.

You will work closely with the Sales & Marketing Director and the wider hotel team to protect diary value, uphold pricing structures, and ensure every event feels considered and well hosted.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and convert wedding and event enquiries, balancing guest experience with agreed pricing structures
  • Confidently guide clients through options, timing and format, ensuring clarity and value throughout
  • Conduct client show rounds and planning meetings, building trust and rapport
  • Prepare proposals, contracts and event documentation from enquiry through confirmation
  • Act as a key point of contact for wedding couples and event clients throughout their planning journey
  • Coordinate all logistical details including timings, menus, layouts, suppliers and operational requirements
  • Prepare and manage detailed function sheets to ensure smooth delivery
  • Work closely with operations, food & beverage, and front‑of‑house teams
  • Support diary management, forecasting and pipeline visibility alongside the Sales & Marketing Director
  • Identify opportunities for repeat business and thoughtful upselling
  • Contribute ideas to improve systems, guest experience and ways of working
About You

You will be an experienced wedding and events professional who is comfortable operating with autonomy and judgement.

You will ideally have:

  • Proven experience coordinating weddings and events within a hotel or premium venue
  • Confidence handling client conversations around structure, timings and spend
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to balance guest experience with commercial awareness
  • Experience using hotel systems and event management tools (Reslynx/Guestline experience an advantage)

The role suits someone who enjoys owning their work, working collaboratively and taking pride in well‑run events rather than volume for volume’s sake.
