We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and a proven track record in food production and kitchen management. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. This role requires excellent leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with your team to create exceptional dining experiences.

Duties:

  • Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring effective team collaboration and communication.
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while considering customer preferences.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and operational procedures.
  • Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure availability of ingredients.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor kitchen operations to optimise efficiency and reduce waste while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a restaurant environment.
  • Strong culinary skills with extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
  • Experience in food production, menu planning, and kitchen management.
  • Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
