Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to materials management, shipping and receiving, and inventory control. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying shipments against purchase orders.
- Perform picking and packing duties to prepare orders for dispatch.
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels and report discrepancies as needed.
- Stock shelves and organise products in the warehouse to optimise space utilisation.
- Conduct quality control checks on incoming and outgoing products to ensure standards are met.
- Engage in heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet operational targets.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with materials handling techniques and equipment is advantageous.
- Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse machinery is beneficial.
- Ability to perform quality control checks effectively.
- Must be physically fit and capable of heavy lifting as part of daily duties.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail are essential.
