Warehouse Operative/Picker

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to materials management, shipping and receiving, and inventory control. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse.
• Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying shipments against purchase orders.
• Perform picking and packing duties to prepare orders for dispatch.
• Maintain accurate records of stock levels and report discrepancies as needed.
• Stock shelves and organise products in the warehouse to optimise space utilisation.
• Conduct quality control checks on incoming and outgoing products to ensure standards are met.
• Engage in heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet operational targets.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Familiarity with materials handling techniques and equipment is advantageous.
• Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse machinery is beneficial.
• Ability to perform quality control checks effectively.
• Must be physically fit and capable of heavy lifting as part of daily duties.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail are essential.

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: £13.85 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 32 per week
