As our Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the success of Odd Muse’s flagship New Bond Street store. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will help drive sales performance, deliver an exceptional luxury customer experience, and lead the team on the shop floor. You’ll be hands-on, commercially focused, and confident in managing people, KPIs, and day to day retail operations in a fast-paced, fashion-led environment.
This role is ideal for a strong retail leader with at least 3 years’ experience managing a team and driving KPIs within a relevant fashion, luxury, or premium retail setting, who is ready to step into a senior leadership position and make real impact.
Key Responsibilities- Sales Performance & KPIs: Support the Store Manager in achieving and exceeding sales targets, conversion, ATV, UPT, and other core KPIs. Take ownership of daily trading performance, motivating the team to deliver strong results on the shop floor. Drive a customer-first mindset, ensuring every interaction maximises sales opportunities while maintaining a luxury service standard. Actively support clienteling initiatives, repeat business, and high-value customer engagement.
- Team Leadership & Shop Floor Management: Support the Store Manager in leading, coaching, and developing a high performing retail team. Take responsibility for managing the shop floor, including team deployment, service standards, and customer flow. Lead by example through confident selling, exceptional styling, and professional conduct at all times. Assist with onboarding, training, and ongoing performance management to build a motivated and capable team.
- Customer Experience & Brand Representation: Deliver a seamless, elevated in-store experience that reflects the Odd Muse brand and luxury positioning. Support personal shopping and bridal appointments, ensuring clients receive attentive, polished, and memorable service. Build strong relationships with clients through personalised service and follow-up, encouraging loyalty and repeat visits. Act as a brand ambassador, upholding Odd Muse’s tone, values, and aesthetic on the shop floor.
- Store Operations & Support: Support the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations, including opening and closing procedures, stock management, VM standards, and daily administration. Ensure the shop floor and back of house are consistently organised and compliant. Assist with stock deliveries, replenishment, and inventory accuracy. Step up to manage the store in the Store Manager’s absence, ensuring continuity of leadership and performance.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing a team and driving KPIs in a relevant fashion, luxury, or premium retail environment.
- Proven ability to motivate a team and deliver results on the shop floor.
- Strong commercial awareness with confidence analysing performance and reacting to trading needs.
