VACANCY: The Berin Centre – Community Cafe Cook

Job title: Community Cafe Cook

Role summary: After several years of planning, community involvement, and fundraising, we’re delighted to currently be in the process of constructing a new building which will become our Community Cafe. This brand new facility will offer a host of new services, including operating a cafe 3 days/week, and working alongside our Community and Family staff to provide a range of other groups, activities and classes. You’ll support this vision by leading the food delivery of the cafe, planning the menu, and ensuring that all due diligence checks are in place and being completed. You’ll work closely with the Community Cafe Manager and staff from other teams to plan cooking groups and other initiatives that engage local people in developing positive relationships with place and with food.

Job location: Based at The Berin Centre, Berinsfield. Occasional travel out of Berinsfield may be required.

Hours: 30 hours/week, Thursday to Saturday when cafe is open, plus remaining hours to be agreed Some evening work required for events. Weekend work required.

Contract is: Permanent
