Fantastic opportunity to join a leading independent law firm in Chester. We're working alongside a highly regarded North West law firm to recruit a People Advisor into their established HR team. Based in their Chester office, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional looking to gain broad exposure across all areas of HR within a professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing professional HR support and guidance on employment law, policies, and best practice
- Advising managers and employees on a wide range of people matters throughout the employee lifecycle
- Supporting employee relations matters including absence management, disciplinary and grievance processes, performance management, and flexible working requests
- Reviewing and updating HR policies in line with legislative changes and best practice
- Assisting with monthly payroll processing alongside the wider People team
- Maintaining accurate HR records and supporting people metrics reporting
- Contributing to HR projects, wellbeing initiatives, and continuous improvement activities
- Building strong working relationships with colleagues and managers across the business
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience working within a generalist HR role
- Ideally part or fully CIPD qualified (or qualified by experience)
- Experience supporting managers with employee relations matters
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Professional, approachable, and confident manner
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and HR systems
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Flexible approach and willingness to travel between offices when required
