I am working with a well-established and growing commercial law firm looking to appoint a Finance Litigation Lawyer to join its highly regarded Creditor Services team in either Liverpool or Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist litigation team acting for a strong portfolio of finance clients and medium to enterprise-sized businesses. The team has experienced continued growth and is now looking to add an additional lawyer to support its expanding caseload.

The Opportunity

You will manage a varied finance litigation and recoveries caseload from inception through to conclusion, working closely with an established team of lawyers and support staff. The role offers exposure to high-quality work within a specialist area of litigation, alongside genuine opportunities to contribute to the growth and development of the team. Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a caseload of finance litigation and recoveries matters from start to finish.
  • Advising and building relationships with existing clients.
  • Delivering a high standard of client service and responding promptly to client and internal enquiries.
  • Assisting with the development of new business opportunities.
  • Working towards financial and performance targets.
  • Supporting, mentoring and assisting junior team members where appropriate.
  • Contributing to the continued growth of a busy and commercially focused department.

About You

The firm is ideally seeking a qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or equivalent with at least 3 years' PQE and experience within finance litigation, commercial recoveries or a related litigation discipline. You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience managing litigated matters independently.
  • Strong knowledge of court procedures and litigation processes.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • The ability to work effectively to court and client deadlines.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive, commercially focused and client-centric approach.
