Oculus are working with a long-established and highly regarded regional law firm with offices across the West Midlands and a particularly strong reputation within litigation and dispute resolution work. The firm combines the stability and reputation of a well-established practice with a genuinely supportive and down-to-earth culture. Their litigation department is known for handling a broad and high-quality range of contentious matters across both commercial and property disputes, while still offering solicitors strong levels of autonomy, client contact and progression opportunities. The team has built an excellent reputation for practical, commercially minded advice and longstanding client relationships.

Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Litigator into their Walsall office. You will manage your own caseload while also supporting on more complex matters where required, including:

  • Breach of contract disputes
  • Tort claims
  • Commercial litigation matters
  • Commercial and residential property disputes
  • Boundary disputes
  • Drafting pleadings and court documentation
  • Preparing instructions to Counsel
  • Managing client and court deadlines
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients throughout matters

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with around 2-3 years’ PQE
  • Experience handling litigation matters independently
  • Strong organisational and file management skills
  • Confident drafting legal and court documentation
  • Commercially minded with strong client care skills
  • Able to work collaboratively within a close-knit team environment
