A well-established Top 100 law firm is looking for an experienced Corporate & Commercial Solicitor to join its team in Stoke as a Senior Associate.
This role sits between the existing senior leadership and junior members of the team, making it a good opportunity for someone who wants greater responsibility, more autonomy and a clear route towards a future Director position.
You will handle a varied caseload for a strong SME client base, covering both corporate and commercial work.
There is a broad range of matters and transaction values, with plenty of scope to develop client relationships and get involved in business development.
- Manage your own varied Corporate & Commercial caseload
- Advise limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, directors and shareholders
- Handle business sales, acquisitions and M&A transactions
- Advise on company restructures and corporate governance
- Draft and negotiate commercial agreements and contracts
- Provide strategic and practical advice to business clients
- Build and maintain strong client and referrer relationships
- Contribute to business development and networking activity
- Supervise and support paralegals, trainees and junior lawyers
- Work alongside the senior team and support the continued development of the department
- Take responsibility for your own workload and work with a high degree of autonomy
- Qualified Solicitor with around 5+ PQE in Corporate & Commercial law
- Strong experience across both corporate and commercial matters
- Comfortable managing your own caseload
- Good technical knowledge, including experience with commercial agreements
- Confident dealing directly with clients and developing relationships
- Commercially minded with an interest in business development
- Experience supervising or supporting junior team members
- Well organised and able to manage competing deadlines
