An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Private Family Solicitor to join a growing, financially stable high-street practice with a genuinely supportive team and clear opportunities for progression.
The Private Family department is expanding, with sufficient ongoing work to justify a permanent hire. You'll be joining an established team where collaboration, autonomy and long-term development are genuinely valued.
You'll handle a broad range of private family matters, including:
- Divorce and financial matters
- Private children matters
- TOLATA
- Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
- Wider private family work
The firm is looking for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to build a long-term career locally. You'll manage your own caseload and work towards individual targets, while being part of a team that actively supports one another with workloads and cases.
Why consider this opportunity?
- Excellent earning potential: with 25% of anything billed above target paid as a bonus. The firm reports that most employees exceed their targets.
- Genuine progression: Clear career pathways and a strong track record of developing and retaining people internally.
- Supportive culture: An established team with dedicated support staff, a family feel and a collaborative approach.
- Financial stability: A well-managed business that operates without borrowing and has a reported 0% insurer risk rating.
- Hybrid working: Two days working from home per week following an initial settling-in period.
You'll ideally be someone who:
- Is a qualified Solicitor with around 2-4 years' PQE, although more junior people with strong paralegal experience may be considered.
- Has experience across a broad range of private family matters.
- Is confident managing their own caseload and individual targets.
- Is hardworking, collaborative and keen to support colleagues.
- Lives within a reasonable commuting distance and wants to establish a long-term career locally.
The package:
- 34 days' annual leave, including bank holidays
- Two days working from home per week after settling in
- Pension scheme after three months
- Dedicated support staff and clear progression opportunities
This is a great opportunity for a Private Family Solicitor looking for more than just a new role. If you want strong earning potential, genuine career progression and the chance to become part of a close-knit team where your contribution matters, this could be an excellent fit.
