We're working with a growing law firm looking to recruit a Receptionist to join its Preston office on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication and organisational skills who enjoys being the first point of contact for clients and providing administrative support within a friendly legal team.
This is a part-time position working 14 hours per week, Monday and Tuesday, 9:00am-5:00pm. Unfortunately, the hours/days are set and unable to change.
Responsibilities include:
- Operating the main switchboard and directing calls appropriately
- Receiving telephone enquiries, taking messages, and dealing with straightforward queries
- Making outbound calls to clients, solicitors, courts and other third parties
- Maintaining diaries and completing telephone records
- Inputting information onto the firm's case management system
- Opening new files and archiving closed files
- Handling incoming and outgoing post
- Keeping the reception area clean, tidy and welcoming
- Undertaking routine fire alarm tests and maintaining daily logs
- Providing general administrative support and assisting with other duties as required
What we need from you:
- Previous reception, front-of-house or administrative experience, ideally within a professional services environment
- Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail
- Confident using computer systems and Microsoft Office
- A reliable, flexible and professional approach
- A commitment to delivering excellent client service
