This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious Planning Lawyer to join a leading international law firm in Birmingham. You will join a highly regarded national Planning team and work closely with an experienced Partner on complex, high-value and strategically significant projects. The role offers exposure to major infrastructure and development work, alongside genuine scope for leadership, client development, and progression.
The Role Key Responsibilities
- Leading and or supporting wider project teams on the promotion of DCOs and CPOs, and the management of Planning Appeals
- Drafting and reviewing planning-related legal agreements for developers, lenders, and public sector clients
- Conducting detailed legal research and analysis on planning law and related matters
- Supporting Real Estate colleagues with planning due diligence, including supervision where required
- Advising clients on planning regulations, policies, and procedures
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of planning law and policy developments
- Prioritising work effectively to maximise efficiency, ensure high service delivery, and meet all deadlines
- Supporting, supervising, and mentoring junior members of the team
- Building strong internal and external relationships to maintain key client accounts and develop business networks
