Are you a Newly Qualified Property Solicitor looking to build your career with a highly regarded Legal 500 firm? This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist residential property team with a strong reputation, high-quality work, and genuine opportunities for long-term progression.

You'll be joining a specialist Self Build Property team in Exeter, handling a broad range of residential conveyancing matters while developing expertise in the growing self-build sector. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor looking to expand their knowledge and establish themselves within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The team is known for its approachable culture, technical excellence, and commitment to developing talent, providing an excellent platform for ambitious property lawyers at the beginning of their careers.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing your own caseload of residential property matters from instruction through to completion
  • Handling a variety of transactions including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, lease extensions, and new build matters
  • Developing specialist knowledge in self-build remortgages and purchases
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, lenders, estate agents, and other stakeholders
  • Providing clear, practical legal advice and exceptional client service throughout the transaction process
  • Working closely with experienced colleagues within a supportive and collaborative team environment

About you:

  • Newly Qualified Solicitor with a valid practising certificate (or due to qualify shortly)
  • Solid residential property experience gained during training
  • Ability to manage your own caseload with appropriate supervision
  • Strong understanding of residential conveyancing processes and property law
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
  • A proactive, ambitious, and team-focused approach
  • Experience of self-build or new-build transactions would be advantageous but is not essential
