A growing regional law firm with a long-standing history across Norfolk is looking to strengthen its Disputes team with the appointment of an experienced Commercial/Civil Litigation Solicitor.

With six offices and more than 100 staff, the firm has an established presence across the region and is continuing to expand into new locations. With strong levels of incoming work, the Disputes team is now growing to meet demand, making this an exciting time to join the firm.

The Role

You will join an established Disputes team of 7+ members, working on a broad range of commercial and civil litigation matters. The caseload is varied and offers the opportunity to work across areas such as:

  • Commercial disputes
  • Contractual disputes
  • Professional negligence
  • Partnership and shareholder disputes
  • Debt recovery
  • Contentious contractual matters
  • Property-related disputes
  • General civil litigation
  • Disputes involving businesses and individuals

The firm is open to candidates with different areas of experience within litigation. Equally, there is genuine scope for someone to develop their own specialism and carve out a particular area of expertise as the team continues to grow.

You will have the opportunity to take ownership of your matters, build relationships with clients and become a key member of a team that is continuing to expand.

The Firm

The Disputes team is already well established but is growing due to the volume and variety of work coming into the department. This creates a particularly good opportunity for someone who wants to join a team where they can have an impact. You will have the opportunity to play a visible role in the team's continued development.

The firm places genuine emphasis on trust and autonomy. You will be given the freedom to manage your own caseload and client relationships, while benefiting from the support and experience of the wider team. There are also clear criteria for progression, giving you a transparent route to develop your career and take on greater responsibility.

Flexible Working

The firm is flexible on office location and is keen to find the right fit for both the individual and the team. Once established in the role, you can work up to three days from home each week. The firm's approach to hybrid working is centred around what works best for clients and the team rather than simply requiring a set number of days in the office. There will naturally be times when client meetings, team collaboration or business requirements mean being in the office is important, but equally, when your diary allows, you have the flexibility to work remotely and manage your time effectively.

Progression & Benefits

  • Clear progression framework
  • Regular salary reviews
  • Discretionary performance-related bonus (10%)
  • 33 days' annual leave including bank holidays
  • Birthday leave
  • Employer pension contribution
  • Healthcare and wellbeing support
  • Paid volunteering day
  • Parking
  • Professional training and development
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Employee referral scheme
  • Regular staff events and social activities

The Opportunity

This is a strong opportunity for a Commercial or Civil Litigation Solicitor looking to join a growing regional firm where they can have genuine influence. With a strong pipeline of work, an established team, clear progression and the freedom to develop your own area of expertise, this could be an ideal move for someone who wants the autonomy of managing their own work alongside the support of an established team.
