The opportunity
An established organisation supporting businesses across the UK is looking for an Employment Solicitor to join its HR and Legal team.
The role offers hands‑on employment tribunal experience, working with a varied commercial client base across the manufacturing and engineering sectors. You'll work alongside experienced legal advisers, develop your litigation skills and progress towards managing your own caseload.
Key responsibilities
- Support Employment Tribunal claims from initial preparation through to hearings.
- Draft pleadings, schedules of loss, lists of issues and other case documents.
- Assist with disclosure, witness statements and tribunal bundles.
- Liaise with clients to gather evidence and provide case updates.
- Monitor deadlines, tribunal directions and case records.
- Undertake legal research and assist with correspondence involving tribunals, ACAS and other parties.
About you
- Legally qualified, with experience in employment law or litigation.
- Strong drafting skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Well organised, with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Confident communicating with clients and colleagues.
- Proactive, collaborative and keen to develop.
- Previous tribunal experience is advantageous but not essential, as support and training will be provided.
