An established international firm is looking to strengthen its growing Tax Disputes offering with the appointment of a talented Tax Litigation Lawyer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team with a strong pipeline of complex work and clear progression opportunities for the right candidate.
The team is currently undertaking a significant volume of direct tax disputes, while also actively expanding its capabilities in indirect tax matters.
- Manage a varied caseload of tax disputes, including HMRC enquiries and investigations.
- Advise clients on complex direct and/or indirect tax contentious matters.
- Prepare cases for and attend hearings before the Tax Tribunals and higher courts where appropriate.
- Conduct detailed legal and technical tax research.
- Maintain accurate time recording and file management in line with regulatory requirements.
- Support business development initiatives and contribute to the continued growth of the tax disputes practice.
Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 2+ PQE in tax disputes. Experience in direct tax disputes or indirect tax (e.g. strong understanding of HMRC procedures, tax tribunal processes, and dispute resolution strategies).
This role would suit a lawyer looking to build a long-term career in tax disputes within a supportive and forward-thinking firm, with genuine scope to progress from Associate through to Counsel level.
