A well-established and highly regarded London law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join its busy and expanding Property team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong residential conveyancing experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will provide hands-on support to fee earners handling a busy caseload of residential property matters from instruction through to post-completion. Exposure to commercial property work may also be available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting with the progression of residential conveyancing transactions from inception to completion
  • Preparing legal documentation and correspondence
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors, lenders, estate agents and third parties
  • Supporting with exchange, completion and post-completion matters
  • Opening, maintaining and closing files in line with compliance procedures
  • Providing general administrative and legal support to the Property team
Candidate Requirements
  • Previous experience supporting fee earners within a residential conveyancing department is essential
  • Strong understanding of the conveyancing process and related documentation
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure
  • Excellent organisational, communication and IT skills
  • Commercial property exposure would be advantageous but is not essential
