The Role: Provide comprehensive typing, secretarial, and administrative support to fee earners and the wider team. Prepare and transcribe correspondence and legal documents using digital dictation, audiotyping, word processing, and firm precedents. Manage client and matter files, including electronic filing, document storage, file opening/closure procedures, archiving, and case management systems. Handle day-to-day administrative tasks, including scanning, printing, photocopying, mail management, scheduling meetings, diary management, and travel arrangements. Deliver professional client service by acting as a key point of contact, handling enquiries, arranging document retrievals, and maintaining clear communication. Support compliance, financial administration, time recording, billing processes, confidentiality requirements, and adherence to firm procedures and guidelines. Maintain professional development, develop proficiency in relevant software systems, and contribute flexibly to a collaborative team environment while undertaking ad hoc duties as required. Specific to the Team: Binding and sewing wills Using the strong room to retrieve, store, and dispatch original documents Preparing wills, codicils, living wills, LPAs, deeds of revocation, and deputyship orders Managing the care, storage, and administration of legal documents Completing legal forms and Land Registry searches Understanding trust and deposit accounts and estate administration procedures About you: Secretarial experience, including digital dictation. Strong Microsoft Office and keyboard skills. Excellent attention to detail and document formatting. Clear communication and ability to work under pressure. Organised, proactive team player with strong time-management skills.
