We're working with a well-established and highly regarded law firm seeking an experienced Conveyancing Paralegal to join their busy Real Estate team in Newark. This is an excellent opportunity for a conveyancing professional looking to join a collaborative team, supporting an experienced fee earner while gaining exposure to a broad range of high-quality residential property transactions.
The Role
You will support an experienced fee earner with the day-to-day management of residential conveyancing transactions, assisting from instruction through to post-completion while providing an excellent service to clients and third parties.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the management of residential conveyancing files from instruction through to post-completion
- Opening new files and completing AML and compliance checks
- Preparing reports on title, mortgage documentation and search results under supervision
- Raising and reviewing enquiries on title, contract packs, searches and surveys
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and other solicitors to progress transactions
- Assisting with exchange, completion and post-completion formalities
- Drafting financial statements and invoices
- Maintaining accurate case management records and updating internal systems
- Providing administrative and legal support throughout the conveyancing process
About You
- Previous experience supporting residential conveyancing transactions within a legal environment
- Good understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction through to completion
- Experience raising enquiries, reviewing replies and assisting with report drafting
- Legal qualifications (desirable)
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong communication and client care skills
- Commercially aware with a proactive approach
- Able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Confident using case management systems and Microsoft Office
