An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Private Client solicitor to join a prominent Scottish firm as a Legal Director in their Private Client team. This is a key strategic hire within a firm that is entering a new phase of growth, with Private Client work at the forefront of their expansion plans. This position aligns to the firm\’s succession planning for their Private Client Practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a varied and often complex caseload of Private Client matters.
  • Supervise and mentor team members across the team.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the firm to strengthen the Private Client offering.
  • Drive department development initiatives and contribute to the firm’s ongoing growth.
  • Conduct internal training and contribute to the development of best practices within the department.

About You

  • 7+ years PQE with extensive Private Client experience.
  • STEP qualification is ideal but not essential.
  • A client‑focused approach, delivering pragmatic and tailored legal advice.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing junior Solicitors would be advantageous.
  • A collaborative, forward‑thinking approach with the ability to drive change.
